Land of Plenty
As most of the world migrates from the agrarian to the urban, the definition of development assumes many meanings.
In Nepal, such growth takes place at a cost. Rampant urbanization alongside a clear lack in planning has led to a systemic destruction of rural land and displacement of lives.
The village of Khokana remains a metaphor for what urbanization brings with it, the promises and the disquiet.
